Crapshoot with the 13 yr ord girls in the rain

Sunday morning, March 30th
Bell Park never looked so dismal…….
So, it’s last Sunday. Like usual our daughter Danielle is in a sleepover. This time she had three of her friends and team mates, Rachel, Soheila and Emily, from her basketball team, the Nesbit Nitros, sleep over. They had just finished a grueling three day tournament.
I made blueberry and whipped cream pancakes for them. It was raining steady outside. Still tons of snow left to melt. I was thinking about going out and taking some photos at the park. I do that. I like going out at times and places when no one else would.
I asked the girls if they wanted to join me. I fully expected them to say no thanks, but they all wanted to go. So we went, with umbrellas. And we froze, got wet, had a blast, and went to starbucks for hot chocolate after and hung out and chatted for a bit.

Danielle, our daughter, plays basketball for her school and also plays with the Sudbury Youth Basketball League (SYBL). For the last practise of the season, the parents got to whop them…
