As you may know, I have been documenting the pregnancy and eventual birth of the Leblanc family. The plan was to show the daily life with their two year old. The plan was to culminate the shoots with the eventual birth, and documentation thereof.

Best laid plans they say. She called me on Monday night at 9:00 saying her water broke. Okay, here goes…I said great. Call me when you get to the hospital. He calls at 3:30, leaves a message with the room number. He sounded frantic.

I missed his call because I was asleep on the couch, camera bag by my side, fully clothed, ready to roll. I hit the road and got there within 20 minutes. We all assumed we all loads of time, but baby Hudson didn’t care. He decided, and surprised everyone.

One push! And here he was. Wasn’t waiting for me and my camera. I still got loads of photos and visited them their first day home for one more shoot. Here’s the hospital photos, baby Hudson only minutes old.
