Ever seen that Movie with John Cusak called High Fidelity?  Jack Black was in it too. Great film. I relate to the main character, who marks events in his life through music. My wife will vouch for it!

I’m always stating dates, events, etc when I hear songs playing on the radio or wherever.

Some bands, some songs, are deep and meaningful to me. Two albums in particular are U2 Joshua Tree and Steely Dan, Aja.

Aja is one of those albums, which came out in 1977, that I know very, very well. It is one of my top ten, most favorite albums of all time.

It’s a little different than the usual rock stuff I love, in that it’s very progressive and jazz like. But good. Very good. It has so many nuances and amazing musical stylings that it captivates me everytime I hear it. No wonder it became one of their biggest selling albums and most critically acclaimed.

So, when I found out that Steely Dan was in Toronto, at the Massey Hall no less, for a two nighter, performing this album on the first night and The Royal Scam the next night, I found two tickets for Aja, six rows back.

We were spitting distance. What a great Show! Flawless. There were 13 musicians  in all, including the founders Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, and horns, back up singers etc etc…

Wow! Perfect sound and each note flowed off the stage like a dream. I sat their spellbound and totally immersed. Amazing to say the least….

2009 was a great season for weddings. I shot weddings in Sudbury, North Bay, Sault St Marie, and more than usual it rained quite a bit! Good thing for umbrellas. I have a vast selection in my car in case of rain, and all brides still love the idea of heading out, rain or shine, and having the pics done on location….Rob

Is coming soon! Nove 12th, 2002….DETAILS HERE

Chris is the studio’s platinum ambasador and his girlfriend Anna is the studio gold ambassador.

KISS….
I was a huge fan when I was 17. Saw them in ‘77

My sister, who lives in London, chuckled when I said I was coming down with a bunch of 14 year olds to see KISS at the John Labatt Centre.

They put on an awesome show! The place was sold out.

One the way home we bumped into Russell Peters who was on his way to Sudbury to put on a show at the Sudbury Arena….
