It’s good to be back. As soon as we got back to Northern Ontario after our stay in Costa Rica, I started back on my Wim Hof breathing and cold immersion program.
BELOW>Here I am, April 3rd, in Lake Lauzon. Water is about 40 degrees farenhheit..about 4 celcius.
Brrrrrrrr….ice on the lake! Lake Lauzon Resort
I first heard about Wim Hof about 2 years ago on the Tim Ferris podcast. Find that HERE
It blew me away. I researched some more and found his online program, signed up and been on it since.
The Vice Travel documentary is very informative as well.
You have to look into this and understand it at a deeper, more scientific level why I, and others do this…and the benefits.
Not to mention the challenge. But I love a good challenge.
I also read Scott Carney’s new book:
“What Doesn’t Kill Us: How Freezing Water, Extreme Altitude and Environmental Conditioning Will Renew Our Lost Evolutionary Strength.”
If this read doesn’t convince you, nothing will.
In fact, after some training with the cold, it’s not nearly as bad as it looks. And the benefits!
Last week, after running 2km.
Call me crazy. It wouldn’t be the first time.
