How high can you throw your baby?

April 27, 2020

Throwing babies up in the air and/or flipping them upside down is not something I take lightly.

Safety. Always play it safe. Of course, this should be obvious. Let me put it this way: “What would parents do with their babies at home?”

If the baby is young, newborn, we snuggle, hold and admire them endlessly.

Newborns are fragile. I don’t use any poses that might put them at risk. Above is an example of new babies in their natural element…sleeping.
Same here…we love looking into our babies’s eyes. This creates a wonderful pose!
This little baby was not able to sit up on her own. What you don’t see, because I removed it, is dad’s hand and arm holding her up.
Older kids love, love being thrown in the air. This would be something Dad does at home….
One of my fave poses, older kids upside down. Look at those smiles!

Executive portraits for realtors in and around Sudbury

Your professional portrait should be up to date, relaxed and revealing (revealing your personality:)…). Friendly, so to speak. Not corny (holding a phone), not like your passport image (which is what happens when you get your spouse to grab a shot at home against the kitchen wall…yeesshhh!!) and above all, professional. Oh, did I mention […]

There are only a few times to photograph flowers…

May 3, 2017 By robprov Leave a Comment

When I was in college for about two days taking photography we had a photography themed based project due every Friday. And there were two rules. Break either, instant fail. Rule one: NO flowers Rule two: NO sunsets The reason? It’s way too cliche…and too easy to create images that we think have impact, with […]

Peek a boo behind the belly….

Sometimes the best shots happen. Out of nowhere. And I need to be ready. Ready with camera and ready mentally prepared…always anticipating the unknown and unexpected. When you’re photographing a 4 year old, although they are relatively easy enough, they do have a limit, so to speak. A point in time where they decide, ok, […]
